On October 1, 2008, Kirin Pharma Company, Limited merged with Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Company, Limited. under the initiative of Kirin Holdings Company, Limited, to become Kyowa Hakko Kirin Company, Limited.
Kirin Pharma USA, Inc. (formerly Gemini Science, Inc.) is a wholly-owned US subsidiary of Kyowa Hakko Kirin. Kirin Pharma USA serves as one of Kyowa Hakko Kirin’s R&D centers in the United States, and facilitates the company’s business and product development efforts in North America.
